When found in the dungeon, the ring should typically have all three charges. There is no need to short-change the players if the item is rolled. However, if found on an NPC, the number of charges might be randomized with a d3 at the DM's option.<sup>Ex</sup> See also [[Ring of Multiple Wishes]].
